Visitors' Center - From I-81 take exit 264. If northbound, turn right; if southbound, turn left. Go eastbound on US-211 to US-11 (2 blocks from the northbound exit ramp) and turn left. Follow US-11 (Congress Street) to Dixie Lane (4 blocks) and turn right. The New Market Area Chamber of Commerce is at the next corner (at John Sevier Road).
Endless Caverns

Just 4 miles north of New Market of US-11 is the longest remaining covered bridge in Virginia. Constructed ca 1892 by Franklin H. Wissler to provide a more convenient access to his apple orchards and Strathmore Farm, it was designed with strict attention to proper drainage of rain and surface water and topped it with a roof. It also is noted for its 191 foot span. Torched by
vandals as a Halloween prank, it was rebuilt and still is service as a highway bridge. The bridge is on the National Historic Register. |

Market Battlefield Historical Park
& Hall of Valor - This three-hundred acre Historical Park, which includes the 19th Century Bushong Farm and the Hall of Valor Civil War Museum, memorializes a "unique moment in American history".
