Glacier National Park
(Wateron-Glacier International Peace Park)

Route F
From I-90 (coming from Idaho)

drive through Glacier National Park and
return to I-90 eastbound

1. From I-90 exit 96, drive north on US-93 to the intersection of MT-35 (about 58 miles).

2. Turn right and follow MT-35 along the east shore of Flathead Lake to the intersection of US-2 (just past Evergreen: about 55 miles).

Note: About 3.7 miles north of Creston is Hwy-206 which is a significant short-cut and which we have found to be a very good highway. It intersects with US-2 just west of Columbia Falls in only 10 miles saving about 18 miles.

3. Turn right on US-2 and follow it to West Glacier (about 33 miles via Evergreen and Columbia Falls; 15 Miles via the short-cut).

4. The West Glacier entrance road to Glacier National Park is to your left (it is well marked). You'll stop at the West Entrance Station where you pay your fee and get the official Glacier National Park literature and map and you are on your way on Going-to-the-Sun Road (entry fee is $10.00 per non-commercial automobile - good for 7 days).

5. At St Mary, turn right (south) on US-89 and follow it, through Browning (about 28 miles), to the intersection of MT-44 (26 more miles).

6. Turn left (east) onto MT-44 and follow it, through Valier, to exit 348 of I-15 (about 29 miles).

7. Turn right and take the near on-ramp, merging with I-15 southbound.
8. Follow I-15 to exit 129 of I-90 at Butte.

9. The eastbound on-ramp is on the far side of the freeway and is a RIGHT turn, looping around merging with the eastbound lanes (about 154 miles from MT-44), and continue on your way east on I-90.
