White Rock Falls

White Rock Falls, a 35+ foot cascade on White Rock Creek, is easily accessed from the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Slacks Overlook (milepost 19.9). The trail is short (less than a mile to the waterfalls). An alternate, and highly recommend, approach is from the White Rock Gap parking area at milepost 18.5. This approaches the falls from the north and has more spectacular views and passes by other, smaller, cascades on the way. It is a bit more difficult and about 2� miles long. There are several trails leading off in different directions which can be fun to explore.

On the Blue Ridge Parkway near Waynesboro, park at the White Rock Gap parking area (milepost 18.f) for the longer trail, or at the Slacks Overlook (milepost 19.9) for the shorter, easier trail.
