Dark Hollow Falls

If you're looking to get away from the crowds, this is certainly not the place. Just across the Skyline Drive is Big Meadows Campgrounds, a large and very popular attraction. Folks come from the campgrounds as well as those who came just to see the falls and, well, you get the picture. The main falls, a set of four cascades dropping 71 feet, is only an easy 0.7 mile walk from the parking lot. (That also helps make this place so popular.)

There is a parking lot just for visitors to the waterfalls at milepost 50.7 (just up the road from the entrance to the Big Meadows Campgrounds. There is a full-time ranger at the campground more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
