Porcupine Falls
Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area
(east of Lovell WY)

The 192 foot Porcupine Falls drops in a horsetail in three or four steps (depending upon the flow) into a large pool at the head of Diablo Canyon. While viewable from the rim of the canyon, one can get to the base by hiking down a rather strenuous, 0.3 mile trail. This is not the place to bring small children.

How to get there:

From Cody, WY, follow US-14 Alt eastbound to Forest Road 11 which is about 32 miles east of Lovell*. Turn left and follow FR- 11 for about 3 miles to Forest Road 14. Follow Forest Road 14 to its end at Diablo Canyon (about 6 miles).
