The 489 foot Bucking Mule
Falls drops in an expanding horsetail in three steps plus a final cascade
finally meeting Porcupine Creek in Diablo Canyon. The sheer canyon walls
help amplify the thunder giving you a truly stunning audio and visual
experience. This is a waterfall!
To get to the canyon
floor you follow a very easy 3.0 mile trail and, yes, it is safe for
children.
How to get there:
From Cody, WY, follow
US-14 Alt eastbound to Forest Road 11 which is about 32 miles east of Lovell*.
Turn left and follow FR-11 for about 3 miles to Forest Road 14. Follow Forest Road 14
to its end at Diablo Canyon (about 6 miles).
