You can't drive to it and it isn't easy to walk to it. So why is it included? Newly added to the regions repertoire to make the stay of tourists more enjoyable is the Cheat Mountain Salamander: a self-powered rail car (they call it their rail bus). For less than $20, you can board the Salamander and ride it on a three-hour trip along the Cheat River, past the hydrospectaular High Falls, climb up and pass through the 'Big Cut' and... Yes, it is ride not to be missed! Reservations are a must; the car only carries 48 passengers. Phone 877-686-7245 for reservations, directions on getting there or any other questions you may have.
