Foster Falls
Foster Falls Scenic Area TN
(northwest of Jasper)

The Foster Falls Scenic Area is now well maintained. It is also a rock climbers haven so you may encounter a few people. There is a campground with some facilities but it is usually well occupied in the summer months. The best time to visit, of course, is in the early Spring. Things aren't as busy then, either. A new access trail has been constructed and it features a neat suspension bridge over the creek below the waterfalls. Another trail will take you to an overlook. Beyond the overlook is a steel bridge crossing the creek above the waterfalls. We recommend both.

Folks coming up from the Chattanooga area should take the I-24 to exit 155. Turn north on TN-28 and follow it to the junction of US-41. Turn left on 41 and follow it through Jasper and up the mountain. Look for Foster Falls Road which will be on your left. It should be about 3 miles beyond a convenience store (also on the left). There should be a sign at the entrance but it can be easy to miss.
