Willamette Falls
Is it natural or artificial? The Pacific Northwest's largest (not highest) 42 foot high, one-quarter mile wide Willamette Falls is a natural rock formation over which the Willamette River roars. But, on top of this rock formation is a turn-of-the century concrete dam along the lip of Willamette Falls. We won't review all the industrial uses of this powerful force of nature - just tell you how to find and view it. For photos of Willamette Falls, see: |
How to get there:
Hotel and Motel accommodations, usually at a discount, are available in the following communities: Note: if you are on your way to the Columbia River waterfalls, take I-205 north to I-84. |
