Oregon (OR) Waterfalls

The Columbia River flows along and defines much of the border between the states of Oregon and Washington.  The Oregon side of the river is mostly lined with cliffs, many rising up to 4,000 feet above the Columbia River.  Many rivers and creeks flow from the Oregon mountains into the Columbia River and among them are over 75 waterfalls. Many of these waterfalls are easily accessed by a short walk from a nearby parking area. Others require a more strenuous hike. But nearly all are easily accessed from I-84 and the (non-controlled access) Historic Highway - which also follow the Columbia River, here.

There are many other mountain rivers and creeks in Oregon and many other waterfalls. We will be listing and describing them as we review them and their access conditions.

Initially, we have divided the Oregon waterfalls into two categories: those accessed from I-5 (which parallels the Cascade Mountain Range) and those accessed from I-84 (along the Columbia River).
