Route H
From I-90 (coming from the East)
drive through Glacier National Park and
return to I-90 westbound

1. Take exit 129 of I-90 (just after you crossed the 6,368 foot Homestake Pass) and merge with the northbound I-15 lanes.

2. Follow I-15 northbound, by Great Falls, to exit 348 of I-15 (about 154 miles).

3. Turn left onto MT-44 at the end of the exit ramp and follow MT-44, through Valier, to its end at US-89 (about 29 miles).

4. Turn right on US-89 and follow it, through Browning, to Kiowa (about 29 miles).

5. In Kiowa, US-89 turns north (right); continue on it to St. Mary (about 19 miles).

6. In St. Mary, turn left on the Glacier National Park entrance road (Glacier Route 1 - Going-to-the-Sun Road).

At the Saint Mary Entrance Station, pay your entrance fee and pick up the literature and park map (entry fee is $10.00 per non-commercial automobile - good for 7 days).

7. At West Glacier, take US-2 west to the intersection of MT-35 at Evergreen (about 15 miles).

Note: this is a 'T' intersection; US-2 turns right, you turn left onto MT-35.

8. Turn left (south) on MT-35.

9. Follow MT-35 which, eventually, swings south and runs around the east shore of Flathead Lake, to the intersection of US-93 in Polson (about 45 miles).

10. Turn left onto US-93 and follow it to I-90 (this will be exit 96).

11. Take the I-90 westbound on-ramp, merging with the westbound lanes, heading west toward Idaho.

   From I-15 (coming from Canada), drive through Glacier National Park and return to Canada.
• Route B:
   From I-15 (coming from Canada), drive through Glacier National Park and return to I-15 to continue in a southbound direction.
• Route C:
   From I-15 (coming from south of Butte), drive through Glacier National Park and return to I-15 north or south or I-90 east of Butte.
• Route D:
   From I-15 (coming from south of Butte), drive through Glacier National Park and depart Montana, westbound, on I-90.
• Route E:
   From I-90 (coming from Idaho), drive through Glacier National Park and return to I-90 westbound.
• Route F:
   From I-90 (coming from Idaho), drive through Glacier National Park and return to I-90 eastbound.
• Route G:
   From I-90 (coming from the east), drive through Glacier National Park and return to I-90 eastbound.
• Route H:
   From I-90 (coming from the east), drive through Glacier National Park and return to I-90 westbound.
