Idaho Waterfalls

Idaho is like three states in one. There is the North, i.e., Coeur d'Alene, with its three great lakes and many highways; the unofficial bridge between Montana and Washington. There is the South: the almost rainless, super-irrigated strip stretching from Boise to Idaho Falls. And there is the middle, wild, rugged Salmon River country in the middle; its one east-west road (ID-21) is closed in the Winter where it tries to sneak around - or is it over - the Sawtooth Mountain Range. There are waterfalls in this wild and rugged - and absolutely beautiful - 'Salmon River Country' but very few get to see them. Waterfalls are frequently classified into three types of access by their afecciónados: auto, trail and bushwack; Perhaps they should add a fourth: view from helicopter.
