Bear Creek Falls
Telluride CO

From Colorado and Pine Streets in downtown Telluride, follow South Pine Street to the end where you'll see the trailhead. The first 2.5 miles is on old Bear Creek Road (FR-535) but, though a steady climb along Bear Creek, is only moderately difficult. At the end of the road a good foot trail takes you the remaining quarter mile to the foot of the waterfall. 

Note: There are two 'Bear Creek Falls' in this area, - the other is in Ouray (US-550).

To get to Telluride, take CO-62 (off US-550 10 miles north of Ouray) to Placerville. Turn left on CO-145 and follow it the remaining 13 miles to Telluride. Note that this is high country so if you are not used to higher elevations, stop frequently as you ascend the trail to allow enough oxygen to get into your lungs.
